Hello everyone!
Your Island Breeze hosts are Tom and Christine.
Tom handles the majority of the information and communication to ensure that our guests have the best experience here. He is also the best one to introduce Island Breeze because he is the one who built the house (with a lot of help) as well as designed the garden space. He also built the outrigger sailing canoe from scratch. And…he always has ongoing projects!
The house was finished in 2016 when we moved into the upstairs and created our space downstairs as a vacation rental in order to share our love for Okinawa with as many people as possible. The spacious Western style interior appeals to guests from all parts of the world. And the location gives everyone the feeling that they are truly in a local place and not just a resort town.
Tom and Christine have lived in Japan since 1988 and in Okinawa since 2010. English is their native language and they both speak Japanese fluently.

Interior
The unique round shape of this house allows for 3 spacious bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and a large open living and dining area. It has a Western style interior with a beach theme.
The master bedroom has a queen size bed, a walk-in closet and a private bathroom which includes a shower room. The two other bedrooms share a full bathroom with a shower and bathtub. One bedroom has 2 single beds and the other has a queen size bed.
Depending on the weather, you can relax in the spacious indoors or sit on the patio surrounded by nature. You can also choose to cook indoors with the stove and oven or outdoors on the barbeque. The wooden hot tub located in the garden hut can be enjoyed throughout the year.
Anywhere you choose to relax you will experience the peace and quiet of Okinawan village life with a refreshing sea breeze blowing.
